Leatherman is tucked in at the bottom of a mountain with a creek running along the valley. Three tracks of the railyard cut over Route 55. Yankowski-Kerr Welding is planted here and besides the Texaco and rail yard it's the only industry in town. The residential area includes a church where the pastor preaches twice a week. There are lots of children in town but must ride the bus to Harsh Creek for school. Route 55 leaves via a tunnel on the way to Harsh Creek and Coddington. The dirt road along the creek provides recreation in one direction and leads to Rusty Run in the other direction. |
