Route 55 South takes you into Leatherman. It's a hilly place where you cross three tracks that serve the Coddington quarry which is around the other side of the mountain. The first two tracks are staging for ore cars. Empties wait here to get into the quarry. Loaded cars wait here and are taken up the third, and steepest track, when a train is being made. While the kids play in the street, the pastor is preaching inside. |
