Perhaps the name of this place comes from the color of all the water that runs out of this part of the valley. No one is really sure. The mine has played out and is now abandoned. The trailer park has survived but residents must travel for work. The mainline runs above the mine and there is a small MOW, Maintenance of Way, operation here. The small building in the foreground is owned by the railroad. This side of the roof has been repaired with whatever color shingles were available. The other side was replaced with all new of one color so it presents a nice appearance to whomever is riding the trains. The only access to the area is via a dirt road and bridge that needs repair.
