I chose a Dark Gray color for mortar lines. I use this color for older brickwork and it shows up better in these photographs for the clinic. For new brick work, I use "Sandstone" (which also makes a great

color for concrete).

This is acrylic and it washes off hands easily so squirt a blob onto a hunk of foam.

This foam is used to package computers and electronics so its pretty easy to find some for free. You can also buy foam "brushes" in hardware stores. These have a handle so you can keep you fingers clean (for now).
