With all four edges scraped you will have a brick chimney that looks like the one in the photo. Wipe off all the plastic bits created by scraping. The edges should be smooth, without any burrs and be
very slightly rounded (just enough to take off any sharp edges. Next is painting the mortar lines. Don't worry about all those tiny lines. Painting goes REALLY fast! For a light mortar I use "sandstone" and for dark mortar I use "dark gray." Both are acrylics available at hobby shops and craft stores.
