Rub the paint over all four surfaces
of the chimney until all the mortar lines are filled.
Use a light pressure otherwise the foam will enter the mortar
lines and take the paint out of there. It's desirable
to have wet
excess paint on the surface of the
brick.
DON'T TRY to clean off the face of the brick with this
sponge, you will pull some or all of the paint out
of the mortar lines.
With mortar lines filled and paint wet go right on to
the next step.
