On this larger building three veneers are used.
A smooth veneer is used where signs will appear and also where I wanted to put
some pipes and vents.
Clapboard covers the main part of the structure and a cinderblock veneer for
the foundation. The lower right corner is stepped because there will be a grade
at that end.
On larger buildings, veneers can butt together without concern for structural
strength. (The foam core does that). Vertical joints can be hidden with
downspouts, fire escapes, or other industrial appendages. Horizontal joints can
be hidden with ledges too.
