Discover Scale Model Railroading at
STRUCTURE BUILDING - The Foamcore/Veneer method
An OnLine Clinic presented by HORAILROAD.COM
This aerial view shows a typical model railroading problem. A not so square space that needs a structure. You can see the black base where I want a building. As it turns out, only ONE of the
corners is 90 degrees. I have no idea what the other angles are. What's really nice about building with foam core is, that the angles don't matter.

During this clinic we will go through the construction of this odd shaped building.

I tried this with styrene alone some years ago and it was a painful experience for me. The odd angles I needed for appearance and fit, made it difficult to get a strong model . Adding bracing and support complicated getting the appearance I wanted.
