About a mile down the yard, an elevated highway overpass cuts across the
yard. The H. Zane Highway replaced a (dangerous!) road that crossed
through the yard. The road was named for a famous person but like every other
named highway, most everyone forgets what he was famous for.
Beyond the highway are most of the maintenance facilities for the railroad
including the passenger car sheds and engine
house. |
This scene is in Hudson Point. |
