Dick Elwell's Hoosac Valley Railroad

Among the most photographed of great model railroads, you will find Dick Elwell's Hoosac Valley. In February 2000 Dick welcomed fellow model railroaders from Maryland into his Massachusetts home to see his Hoosac Valley Railroad. The photographs of the Hoosac Valley shown here were taken during that visit. While the HVRR has been around for a number of years, it has grown and changed gracefully over time. That this railroad captures a place in time as valid today as it was when the scenes were originally created, is testimony to Dick's care and craftsmanship. I did not caption these photographs individually; Each could simply say: "Views from the Hoosac Valley Right-of-Way."
